The Top Six Supernatural Song-Stories We'd Love to See

by Cynthia Boris

Crossroad Blues, In My Time of Dying, What Is and What Should Never Be, Supernatural is tops when it comes to turning classic tunes into episode fodder. So with the glimmer of a third season twinkling in our eyes, we decided to try our hand at musical match-up and came up with these:

The Top Six Supernatural Song-Stories We'd Love to See

Maneater by Hall & Oates
Dean is thrilled by an invitation to dine with a sexy older woman until he finds out that he himself is the main course.

Fashion Zombies by The Aquabats
An Ugly Betty crossover that has the Winchester Brothers protecting Betty from a diva devil, a.k.a. America's Next Top Model star Tyra Banks.

American Pie by Don McLean
The Winchesters must travel back in time in order to stop the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper before "music" really does die.

Light My Fire by The Doors
Dean's addiction to burning corpses gets a little out of hand when the brothers visit the King Tut Exhibit at the Smithsonian. A Bones crossover.

Hotel California by The Eagles
San and Dean can check in any time they like, but they can never leave.

Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt
In this holiday episode, Sam is possessed by the spirit of Marilyn Monroe and Dean gets the Christmas gift he's always wanted.

Do you have a great idea for a Supernatural Song-Story match-up? Leave them in your comments for all the world to see.

I would pay good money to see the Santa Baby one. Hotel California is one of those songs that I've always been amused that it hasn't shown up on the show yet.

These are hilarious. HAHAHA they're also really good writing prompts!

I think I may have hurt myself laughing over the "Light My Fire" one. No suggestions to offer, but I love yours.

I would PAY MONEY to see any of those episodes! LOL Awesome. What we really need is a Metallica song. How about Enter Sandman, and it could be Winchesters vs. Krueger?

I could completely see "Maneater" happening on this show. Heh.

I love the Hotel California idea!! Oh boy do I wish they'd make that one :o)

Meaneater sounds great too - I can just picture all of the hilarious faces that Dean would make as he slowly realises that he's the meal!

The Maneater is a fantastic idea. And they should cast Faye Dunaway as the older lady. She and Dean would set the screen on fire!

Haha, I can't decide which one I love the most!
But I'd love to see Fashion Zombies, definitely American Pie and Santa Baby doesn't sound too bad either^^

Thanks Cynthia those are all great ideas, really funny stuff. I would love to see the Hotel California idea used as an episode. That is one that I think would appeal to Mr Kripke.

Over at Jraunlimited.com I wrote a fanfic crossover with the show Las Vegas where Dean had to deal with a bad Danny who was using DNA coded pheremones to target women to have his bad way with them, not so supernatural in nature but fun to write. Should I suggest Viva Las Vegas by Elvis? Not really a possibility as a real episode due to the different networks, who own the shows, not wanting to co-operate huh!

Oh, yeah on Maneater - but with Isabella Rossellini as the maneater. Dean may not MIND being the main course . . .

im thinking ryme or the achient mariner by iron maiden, or Homage for satan by deicide. I would also love to see hells bells from acdc.

I think "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring would be a great song in an episode.
