Many of you had SoundedOff with questions regarding the new HGTV programming.

Here is the response I got from HGTV:

The scheduling and programming decisions for HGTV are made after careful thought and much analysis. Our goal is to match the right program with the most receptive audience and all of our programming is dedicated to providing ideas, inspiration and information to our viewers. Though it is our hope that every viewer enjoys the great variety of programs offered on our network, we also realize that not every program is suited for every taste. Getting viewer feedback on our programs provide the most direct and accurate information upon which we can make programming decisions and these comments will be kept in mind as we plan future programming.

I may be a TV critic, but more so, I'm a TV fan. And as a TV fan, I, along with many other females my age, spent their college afternoons with TLC's Trading Spaces, While You Were Out, The Wedding Story and The Makeover Story. Trading Spaces and While You Were Out in particular made celebrities out of its talent, including Paige Davis, Vern Yip, Ty Pennington, Carter Oosterhouse, Chayse Dacoda, Evan Farmer, Leslie Segrete... the list goes on. Two of these famous home renovating faces have moved on from their TLC home to start making over new homes on HGTV: Vern Yip and Carter Oosterhouse.

Oprah might have found her "cutie pie" decorator in Nate Berkus, but I know exactly who the "cutie pie" designer is. David Bromstad. No doubt about it.

Bromstad won his way into viewers' hearts as he worked his way through HGTV's Design Star and ultimately won. The prize? His own show on HGTV which will premiere on Sunday, March 18 at 10 p.m., with the title Color Splash.

David Bromstad, 32, is in the final two on HGTV's reality show Design Star. Speaking with David was like speaking with someone I had been friends with for years. He had me laughing the entire time. In fact, there were times in the interview where I could barely type because I was laughing so hard. Below is an edited transcript of our conversation.

It's down to the final two in HGTV's newest hit reality show Design Star. Alice Falkier, 31, hails from Texas, with a degree in interior design. Alice and her competitor, David Bromstad, recently went head to head in the final challenge, which took place in Bryant Park in New York City. Now it's up to America to vote for the next Design Star, with the winner getting their own HGTV show. I recently spoke with Alice to get her thoughts on the competition. An edited transcript of our conversation follows.

HGTV's Design Star is down to its final two contestants, Alice and David. It's now time for America to decide whom they'd like to see hosting the newest HGTV design show. This morning I went to Bryant Park where HGTV was wrapping up a weekend's worth of shooting of the show's final challenge. Let me say this: if there's one part of reality television that is truly real, it would be the weather. It seemed to have no sympathy for Alice and David, as it rained and rained, and just kept raining.

Joe Kennard doesn't watch TV. In fact, he doesn't even own a TV. So what's it like for someone like Joe to end up on HGTV's new reality series Design Star? "It's like going to a different planet and just trying to figure out what's going on," Joe said. He continued, "I could not have imagined what really happened. I stepped into a world that I had never been a part of. The way things go day to day, the speed, the pace, the craziness. I jumped in and I played and it was totally surreal, and abstract, and just not real."
